"Make popsicles"? CHECK!

We have marked off another item from our "Summer 2012" list!  We will likely do this again--maybe with a fancy popsicle recipe next time.  This time we just took pineapple juice and crushed pineapple and put them together.  They were tasty!  These might be our next popsicle adventure.  Mmmmmmm.

Getting ready....

Pouring the juice into the molds--very precise work.  lol

Yep we made popsicles!

Frying Pan Park fun

Over a week ago we went to Frying Pan Park with a bunch of old college friends.  I had never been there before.....if you have small kids the "farm" is worth checking out.  Brody loved all of the animals!

He really wanted to get IN with the animals!

Checking out the sheep

We had to catch the goats for a few minutes because they were escaping under the gate to get to their mama!

On a tractor!

All of the kids!

My new love

Lately I have been having tuna for lunch.  I had been making it with a 1/2 tablespoon of mayo and some yellow mustard and it was good but O M G the other day I decided to throw in Frank's hot sauce instead of the mustard.  Seriously--I am in love.  It is so dang good!  I mix it all up and eat it on Coco Pops (from Wegmans).  My whole meal is under 200 calories and packed with protein!  (it's the whole can of tuna btw)  For those who aren't fans of tuna remember.....when you put the Frank's in there you can't even tell it's tuna.  I forget sometimes and think it's chicken!  Try it!

I also have been drinking a lot of liquids since it's hot outside.  Water of course is best but water alone can be boring.  Sometimes I drink seltzer water--flavored and unflavored.  Well the other day I took my water bottle from the gym (20oz) and filled it about 3/4 full with seltzer water and topped the rest off with Crystal Light lemonade.  So good and so refreshing!  I drink WAY more water now that I have done this.  I can power down a 20oz bottle in minutes--without even realizing it!

I love new healthy eating/living tips.  Don't you?

Registered!

Brody is officially registered with Loudoun County Public Schools for the fall!  Now we wait for awhile to see which school he will go to etc.  I hope he loves school!

Travis' birthday party-part two

Here are the skating pics and one video of Brody.  I wish I had gotten some video of Travis skating--he OWNS that rink when he's on it!  Amazing since he was barely shuffling along a year ago......

He is READY!

There he goes.....

Travis' birthday party-part one

I was a terrible picture taker at the party.  :(  The kids were wild and I never really got a group picture which is sad.  There are a few pics of kids together but no pics of all of the kids.  Oh well.  Moving targets are hard to get all in the same spot.  ;)  The kids all had a blast skating--the hockey kids were all whizzing around the rink at top speeds and new skaters Colin and Aiden had a great time perfecting their new skills.   And Brody hit the ice for the first time ever!  Man he loved it--pitched a fit every time we pulled him off the ice.  Need to get him some more ice time soon so he can be whizzing around the rink next year at this time.

Since there are so many pics I will do party pics here and skating pics in another post.  :)

Holding him back from the cake--lol

Cake from Wegmans-marble cake with chocolate pudding--YUM--and that is Travis in the middle of the cake with one of the Caps players

Party time

What?

This pic is my fault--someone had tooted and I said it out loud and all the kids went crazy

Light the cake

Cheeseball

He had to lick the candle-which makes me wonder where that candle is--guess it went in the trash bc it didn't come home with the cake....

Brody being a big boy at the party

Having his cereal that Grampa always gets him at the ice house--it's a tradition  :)
