Day 5 part 4- Professional pictures!

The photographer on the formal night tried to get a picture of the boys together but Brody wasn't cooperating.  Shocking right?  The other picture was a random one in a bar one night when Travis was in the kids club and Grammy was in our room with a sleeping Brody.  Definitely frame worthy-both of them- I think!

Day 5 part 3-Back on the boat-ice carving and more!

The "all aboard" was at 11:30am and we left the port maybe an hour later?  I guess everyone made it on the ship--lol.  Before lunch we decided to walk a bit....

The boys were getting way ahead of us!  They loved to walk/run around the decks of the ship!

Sand bars not too far from Bermuda--love the colors!
And then we watched some of the ice carving demonstration--we didn't stick around long enough to see what it turned out to be--it was taking longer than we thought it would--lol.  The kids up front said it was going to be a penguin.....

Travis and his friend Evan watching the ice carving

Trying to figure out what it is.....

Chipping away

Evan and Brody were trying to see too

Still not sure what it was.  lol
Oh yes now we have our daily picture of what the kids do at dinner.....LOL  It was another "formal night" and I will post the formal picture we had taken later today--it was a pretty good picture of the group--just too bad Brody wasn't looking at the camera.....

They are VERY busy!  lol

Day 5 part 2-Attempting to get group pics in Bermuda

I wish I had looked at the family picture before we got back on the boat---I'm not a huge fan of the family picture but what can you do?  There are a few cute ones of the boys though! :)

Day 5 part 1-The "old fort" aka The National Museum of Bermuda

I didn't go with them to the museum so I don't know what they saw......but from the pictures I can see an old fort, some wild sheep and the "swim with the dolphins" exhibit.  :)

Day 4 part 4-Pirate night in the Kids Club

The night before we noticed on the Kids Club paper that all kids needed to be checked in by 8pm on Day 4.  It didn't say why but since we had been taking Travis at around 8:45/9 pm after our 7:30 pm dinner time I didn't think that would work.  So Evan took him to the Windjammer for dinner (Evan had a sushi appetiser-lol) and had him in the kids club at around 7:30 pm.  Thankfully Brody didn't ask where Travis was during dinner--thanks to the iPhone I'm sure.

At around 8:15 ish we hear little kid voices singing some type of song--"it's a pirate's life for me" or something like that.  Our waiter Nicholas says....."it's Travis and the other kids from the kids club!"  They were walking around the ship singing for everyone.  It was cute and I was able to get an embarrassing picture for when he is a teenager.

Pirate Travis and his Kids club friends

Pretending he doesn't know me--the kid in the yellow was his best buddy on the cruise--Evan and also 8--he was from Fairfax

Scaring people at the bar
And tonight's towel animal was.........a cute puppy!!!!

Travis had a bad habit of pouncing next to the animal and messing it up.  ;)

Day 4 part 3- A visit to the BUEI

While in Hamilton we visited the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute at the suggestion of a friend.  It was almost a 2 mile walk there from the ferry stop but we hoofed it out there anyway.  :)  We got there at about 4:10 and found out that it closed at 5pm.  Hmmm--could we race through?

Look the Titanic with a giant squid!

Running to the dive exhibit

Waiting for 4:20pm to enter the dive tank

They had a "dive exhibit" that had it's last dive at 4:20pm--we had to run to the end of the exhibit to make it to the dive.  You get into this small craft and they lock the doors--it seats maybe 20 people.  It looks like you are going under water and the whole thing shakes and you "see" things through the window like whales, jellyfish etc.  It dives super deep in the ocean and it ends up in the Bermuda Triangle.  It was pretty neat but Travis wasn't thrilled--he was a little scared.  ;)  It was loud and the whole thing kept shaking.....

Evan and Travis in the tank

Brody and I in the tank
We then had a few minutes to speed through the other exhibits.  There were some exhibits about the Titanic which is always interesting, the Bermuda triangle and my favorite was the shark tank.  You stood in the shark cage and the video knew you stepped in.....and a shark came up to "bite you" and the whole cage shook---Travis wasn't a fan of this exhibit either.  lol

Travis and the pink Bermuda sand

Evan tried to get Travis in this pod to see the video but--NO WAY

I'm not sure why the video is turned......maybe I turned the camera--no idea.  You get the idea that the shark cage was cool and could be very scary.  It was VERY realistic.  :)
