5th grade DJ after party

I chaperoned the after party (12:30-2:30 on Monday) and it was amusing.  The kids did dance.....the boys more than the girls and the DJ did a great job keeping them entertained with games too.  Here are some pictures and videos from the after party.

5th grade farewell/promotion/graduation......whatever you want to call it.......

Travis has officially left elementary school behind.  They had a day of ceremonies and parties on Monday and more parties and a "clap out" on Tuesday.  I know it's cliche but it seems like yesterday (how was it 6 years ago?) that he entered that school!

The teacher gave out funny awards to the kids and this one was his......my guess is that it stemmed from a conversation/debate in class one day.

All of the 5th graders had a star in the cafeteria with what they wanted to be when they grew up---SO MANY of them had professional athletes as their job  :)

1st day of 5th grade---Brody's bus came too early this year for me to get a picture of them together---Travis was still in bed when Brody left the house!

Travis is 11.......

It's totally cliche and I think I say it every year but.......seriously....where does the time go?  How is he already 11?  Leaving elementary school?  Not possible---he's just now losing his 1st tooth------no?  (sigh)  Even though he had school on his birthday we started out the day with donuts and finished it with a trip to Nats park.  Not too shabby right?  :)
