This chili is AMAZING!

This week on the menu was Skinnytaste's Crockpot Chicken Taco Chili and it was as stated above....AMAZING!  Everyone loved it and I think the recipe can easily stand alone without any meat in it!  I added an extra can of beans since I had less chicken and left out the chili peppers and the cilantro (Evan isn't usually a fan of it) but MAN was it good. I served it with Fritos (it's a Texas thing), reduced fat sharp cheddar cheese and light sour cream.  YUMMY!  You must try this recipe!

Three sports mentioned in four sentences? Sounds about right!

Is it sad?

I ask that question since I was exceptionally happy that Evan asked me to buy him beer today when I was at Costco.  Why would I think that is sad?  Well that seems sad since I was happy he wanted the beer so I could then take the bottle caps and make some of these little guys.  I only had 5 bottle caps collected so far but this case of beer will help me on my way!  I wonder how many bottle caps Evan will collect on Thursday night in Blacksburg.........LOL.

It seems I haven't done this post for a few weeks.  Sorry about that!  I have been to the gym my normal 5-6 days of the week though--have no fear.  Here is last week's gym recap (all classes are 60 minutes long unless otherwise noted):

The Bears lost :(

The season is over.  They lost today 20-0.  The kids were bummed but I am a little glad to not have football practice next week.  It was a long season but Travis had fun and that is what's important.  Here are some pictures from today's final game:

Annabelle and Brody playing in the rocks

The Bears (Travis is #24) getting ready for the game to start

Running onto the field

Waiting to play

Brody caught the ball

Big game today!

Travis and Dexy getting geared up for game day!  ;)
This morning is Bears vs. Jets.....should be an interesting game since the Jets were undefeated in the regular season and the Bears were the only team to ever score on them all season long.  Records will tell you the Jets should win but only time will tell if the Bears can make that assumption false  ;)

How will it end?

Travis brought home this short story from school today and sadly I will never know the end of the story since he didn't complete it.  I'm sure that has something to do with the elaborate illustrations and the small amount of giggling he did when writing it.  He doesn't get this stuff from me......

Are you using "Pinterest"?

Some of you may have no idea what I am talking about in which case...here is the link.  Basically it's an online "pin" board for your likes, wants, ideas etc.  I LOVE it.  I always log in through Facebook so it pulls my Facebook friends most recent "pins".  You can search pretty much anything you want and you make your own "boards" for things like birthday party ideas, Christmas decorations and so forth.  It's a great way to have all of those websites, ideas, recipes etc all in one place!  But beware is it VERY addicting!  I have found some great holiday decoration ideas on here like this and this.  As an added bonus there is a free app for iPhone and probably others. I hope to "see" you and your "pins" on Pinterest very soon!

Four little turkeys

Aren't these little turkeys so cute?  They are actually place card holders and I don't remember where they even came from.  I've had them a few years so I don't know if they were a gift or if it was something I picked up one day when things were on clearance after the holidays.  It just goes to show that you can possibly use decorations everywhere--even if they aren't supposed to be used for that.  ;)

I predict the scene from "A Christmas Story" sometime this winter
