LIONS WIN!

Last Saturday Travis' football team traveled to Fredricksburg to play the Spotyslvania Cougars for the 2nd time this season.  This game apparently was a must win for the Lions to get into the playoffs.  This was also the first "road game" for these kids---and it was a hot one!  Thankfully in the end Travis' team won and will be heading to the playoffs in November.  For the 1st time all season I was actually able to take a few action shots of a game!  For those that don't know---he's #54 and plays center on offense---on defense he plays a few different roles these days.

Injury #1 of 3 that day for Travis---taping his fingers together after they got caught in someone's helmet

School supplies on clearance!

Now is the time to print out the school supply shopping list (again) and get things for next year!  Travis moves to middle school next year which is apparently the year of the binder--LOL!  He needs 8 of them!  I have marked a lot of things off of his list already!  Here are the things I found this morning at Target:

Thin markers .47
Erasable pens .68 a pack
Baseball notebook--not needed but Travis will love it  :)  .74
2 inch binders .74 EACH
1 inch binders .44 EACH
Plastic 2 pocket folders with prongs .15 EACH

PLUS they have marked down the multi-packs of Puffs tissues---good to stock up on for cold season or your school supply list.  They were marked to $2.48 per 4 pack!

Beach 2014

I am a terrible blogger and got so behind this summer.  :(  Instead of trying to go back and post everything I missed blogging about I will just be going backwards into the summer for one thing---the beach.

This year we went further south to Avon. NC.  The advantage is there are few less people---the disadvantage of course is that it's roughly an hour farther south.  ;)

The kids all had a blast together as they have the past few years----even Brody had a great time with the big kids!  Robbie who is 14 was by far his best buddy that week!  ;)

Too bad this pic is blurry  :(  The humidity caused issues with my camera.

I know their eyes are closed but it's suck a cute pic otherwise!  lol

Crab

The kids kept digging holes in the sand to sit in and then would wait for the water to come up and fill the hole in---seemed weird but they did it over and over again!

"Be a Pilot Day"

On a total whim we went out to Udvar Hazy to their "Be a Pilot Day".  It was something Evan had thought about doing but when Travis' game got pushed back a few hours when we got to the field for his game we decided "what the heck--why not?".  This explains why Travis is in his baseball uniform in all of the pictures.  LOL  The kids had a great time climbing in some of the planes and going into the 777!
