Sunday was a busy birthday party filled day!

Sunday morning started with Travis and I heading to the grocery store. We do this together every weekend-sometimes on Saturday or sometimes on Sunday. This week he brought his Lego magazine with him and wanted to sit in the car to read it while I shopped. Of course this makes it hard to pack the grocery cart but it does make it easier since he isn't wandering away or buying so many extra items!

Once we got home from the store it was time to head up to Maryland for Aiden's birthday party. His party was at a place called "Romp n Roll" which was basically like Little Gym for kids under 6. We got there and immediately Travis got wild-places like this are so hard for kids with ADHD. He ran around like crazy and only hurt one kid...of course it was the birthday boy-Aiden.....but it wasn't something he did to hurt him-he just got carried away pulling him over this tube and Aiden landed on his head. He cried for a minute and then was fine-it probably scared him more than anything. Travis sometimes forgets that not everyone likes to be rough and tumble like he does. Eventually it was time for pizza and cake! The kids gobbled up the pizza and were ready for cake! Travis and Zane helped Travis just a little bit with blowing out his candles.....needless to say they relit them and Aiden had another chance to do it by himself. ;) It was a Transformers cake covered with red and blue icing. Apparently those are the worst colors to get off your skin judging by the amount of blue faces, hands, tongues and lips! Aiden looked like a smurf by the end of it!

Then we headed over to Paige and Patrick's house for the kids to play. She had some of the family over for the family birthday party. The kids wanted to use the moonbounce but only one bounce in and it was TOO HOT. They were so excited too....oh well. They played inside most of the time we were there since it was 90+ outside. Travis and Aiden ended up in his room at one point in the afternoon dumping out all of his Legos and building a "Star Wars city". Their words not mine. The kids had a blast but we couldn't stay forever because Evan had some work stuff to do at home.

Later that evening we spent a nice evening on the deck with Cal and Wendy just chatting and drinking frozen drinks! Even though it isn't summer it sure felt like it!
